Introducing The Glasgow Print
After the release of our Pàislig print a few months ago, it seemed natural to move towards a city that we love and spend a lot of our time in – Glasgow. Introducing our GLASGOW print. . . .
We have launched a new print available in two colourways that showcase some of our favourite Glaswegian iconography in greyscale and Clyde blue. All of the illustrations in this new design have been illustrated using a body of hand illustrated pencil drawings that render scenes such as Glasgow School of Art alongside Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Glasgow Central and its infamous clock, the Gallery of Modern Art and the very well know cone-headed Duke of Wellington and more well known Glasgow locations.
As with all of our prints and designs, our Glasgow print was created from Josef’s original sketchbook drawings and has been digitally put into repeat in natural graphite grey and in a new shade of Clyde blue so you can add a style to suit within your wardrobe.
While there are so many amazing pieces of architecture, landmarks and more within Glasgow, we wanted to narrow it down to some of our favourites and illustrate them to create a simplistic design that was all about the drawing and showing the beauty of Glasgow as a city.
As a city, Glasgow has so much to offer, from amazing independent businesses, architecture, restaurants and not to mention a fantastic creative scene that hails the likes of Timorous Beasties, Bluebellgray and so many more art lead businesses by those that live in the city. Although we are based in Paisley, just 10 minutes outside of wonderful Glasgow, there is a great connection that influences a lot of our work and we thought by creating a print with some of our favourite Glaswegian iconography , we could pay homage to the city that we love.
