”In this months issue, Im going to be talking masks. The must have accessory of 2020, and with good reason.
You can’t avoid masks in 2020. So much of my daily life is trying to forget I’m wearing one or trying to make sure my glasses dont steam up, checking my pockets to make sure I’ve got one, or making double journeys up and down my flat stairs after forgetting one. It truly has entered the hallowed pantheon of “wallet, keys, phone.”
One of the great things about my printed masks is that you can begin to use them as part of your outfit. Match, clash, compliment; masks are quickly becoming what “fashion socks” meant for 2011. All of my masks are manufactured in Britain, the majority of which are printed and sewn in my Paisley High Street Studio. Employing either tightly woven cotton or lightweight, quilt stitch airflow knit fabrics, our masks are the perfect covering for shopping, trains, pub trips and post lock-down reunions. Stay safe all while injecting some colour into our ’new normal’. Comfortable to wear, resuable and washable, you will be sure to find a colour theme to accessorise with your style.
You can shop masks at www.josefmcfadden.com or if you want to support locally, visit the Remode Youth Shop on the Paisley high-street or Incube Shop on Gilmour Street.
