I originally studied print design as part my course at college in Derry, Ireland in 2010. In 2013 I moved to Scotland to start my studies at the Scottish School of Textiles, part of Heriot-Watt University. At university, I studied print under some of the industry’s most talented technicians and lecturers. I began to branch out into knitwear and started a business plan for a menswear label.

In 2015, after graduating, I started my name-same company, launching my graduate collection in menswear accessories. I started with a desk in my backroom, roping friends in to help sew and build my website. In 2017, I moved Josef McFadden west to Paisley, opening my first studio shortly after. My ambition is to source all of my raw materials from Scotland and manufacture every product I sell in my studio.

I currently have over 120 products available to buy online and offer bespoke services for illustration and print design. I consult and collaborate with a number of Scottish-based businesses and wholesale to some of Scotland’s best gift shops.
